Why does time increase again & again during live negotiation?

Modified on Sun, 11 Oct 2020 at 09:32 PM

The timer would be increased during the live negotiation in the following cases:

  • Buyers have access and option to reduce & increase the time during negotiation.

  • In the last 2 minutes of the negotiation process, if a supplier bids and if there is any change in a Supplier rank position due to the latest bid, the system will increase the time by 1 minute automatically to help all the participants to submit their new bids.

  • In the last 2 minutes of the negotiation process, if a supplier bids and if there is too close a bid error for a supplier during the new bid submission, the system will increase the time by 30 seconds automatically to allow the supplier to submit their new bids.

  • Buyers have the option to stop Negotiation during the negotiation window, this usually happens if the buyer meets his price expectations or wanted to close the negotiation immediately. When a buyer opts for Stop Bid, then the timer would be auto-set to 1 minute with a notification to all vendors stating that irrespective of competition the timer will close in the next one minute.
