Understanding Chat Functionality:

Step 1. Go to the specific RFQ

Example- RFQ-2025-2517, for this requirement vendor is yet to submit his quotation & buyer wants to tell him over the chat to submit his quotation.

In this example,

Buyer – “Vijay Sub”

Vendor – “Hem Transporters”

  • Buyer needs to open that requirement, then click on chat icon under Actions as shown below-

  • As soon as the buyer clicks on chat icon, Chat window would get open in the buyer screen as below:

  • After writing the text in the text field buyer can click on send button.
  • The vendor will get a notification with bell icon on the vendor screen as below

  • When the vendor clicks on the bell icon a small chat window gets open for the vendor, as below-

  • As the vendor clicks on the text, a bigger chat window gets open for the vendor, as below-

  • Vendor can reply by writing his text in the text field & send it to the buyer, it will appear as below-

  • In this way buyer & vendor can chat with each other.
  • Chatting can be done during the live auction as well.
  • Every chat will have Admin as a default buyer along with the actual buyer who has floated the requirement. (Here the Admin is “Automation Customer" & RFQ floater is “Vijay Sub”) This is for a feasibility of direct communication between the Admin & vendor in the absence of the actual RFQ floater or if the Admin himself wants to chat directly with the vendor for better prices.

Note: Buyer & Vendor has to keep their screens active for chat notifications, they need to refresh their screens regularly for the latest chat notifications.
